Report: DeSean's finger injury could take 3-4 weeks, will try out splint

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson fractured his ring finger and has been told the injury could take three-to-four weeks to heal, a source informed Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Jackson is reportedly scheduled to try out a custom splint tomorrow to see if he can play through the ailment, and it'll be determined later if the wideout will stay on the sidelines until it's fully healed.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport initially reported that Philadelphia wasn't concerned by Jackson's injury, which he suffered during a workout Tuesday, and that he wasn't in danger of missing any time.

However, with less than two weeks before the Eagles' season opener, Jackson's status appears to be more uncertain than first assumed.

The Pro Bowl wideout has been one of Philadelphia's standout players during training camp and is in line to start alongside Alshon Jeffery.
