The Miami Dolphins appear to be the leading candidate to land Jadeveon Clowney, but the team's locker room is reportedly against left tackle Laremy Tunsil being involved in any potential trade for the Houston Texans pass-rusher.

Dolphins players would "legit revolt" if Tunsil, who's widely regarded as one of their best players, was moved, a source told Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.

"The backlash would be amazing," said Beasley's source.

The Texans are in desperate need of an upgrade at left tackle and have reportedly been persistent in their pursuit of Tunsil.

While the Dolphins have made several veteran players available in trade discussions entering a rebuilding campaign, Miami is reportedly unwilling to part with Tunsil.

The former first-round pick is potentially under contract for the next two years at a bargain total price of $12.4 million.

Meanwhile, the franchise-tagged Clowney can't be extended. If Miami acquired Clowney, he'd need to be tagged again in 2020 to prevent him from hitting free agency.
