Pop!_OS huge ping spikes
by buyological from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4Q54S)
So I have been using Pop!_OS recently, coming from Windows 10.
I have fully switched to Pop!_OS and don't use Windows 10 at all anymore.
On Windows 10 I was playing Minecraft quite often (pvp, not building/survival or anything) and when I set
everything up on Linux, I noticed the hit detection was incredibly inconsistent and delayed, so were my pots. I decided to join a Minecraft pvp server that had a real-time ping display in the sidebar so I didn't have to spam /ping in the chat every few seconds, and noticed that it went from about 11 to 13, all the way to 3000... This is pretty much unplayable, I was getting destroyed in fights I would usually win easily. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or am I gonna have to return to Windows 10 (yuck).
Any help is appreciated!
