Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is leaning toward retirement after his kicking woes continued into Week 2, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports.

However, the Colts are reportedly attempting to convince the future Hall of Famer to keep playing. A final decision is expected by Monday afternoon, Florio adds.

The 46-year-old missed two extra-point attempts during Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans, bringing his total missed kicks this season to five. He also made a mess of two field-goal tries and an extra-point attempt in Week 1.

"Yeah, it's a concern," Colts owner Jim Irsay told Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan postgame while indicating Vinatieri's job could be on shaky ground. "We'll talk and try to take emotion out of big decisions."

Vinatieri has missed four PATs and two chip-shot field goals over his last three games dating back to the end of the 2018 season.

The 24-year veteran is the oldest player in the league. He put off retirement in January for a one-year contract to stay with the Colts.

A four-time Super Bowl champion, Vinatieri joined Indianapolis in 2006 following a 10-year stint with the New England Patriots.
