Problem with multiple Ctrl + copy on calc on ubuntu 18.04

I'm currently working on a project which involves multiple Ctrl + copy on calc as the values I want aren't in grouped together in the raw data. I can do Ctrl + copy once and then paste but after that calc doesn't allow me to do any more of that operation. I have tried over multiple sheets in the same file and it doesn't seem to matter. Does anyone have a solution? If it helps I'm using ubuntu 18.04
