Question about Linux Core, University Exam
by lolo4040 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4QSB2)
Hi friends,
I would like to ask to the community any reference about the following question to answer well on a university exam. There is no clear answer among classmates:
Initially, in what language is the core of the Linux Operating System written?
- Assembly language
- C language
There are several people that says assembly language was the first steps on the unix core developments, but there are many other people who think that although there is a part of Linux in assembly language, most of the core is developed in C.
So, what would be the clearest answer if only one can be chosen?
Thanks!
