[SOLVED] Diagnosis assistance: hardware problem?

Hi, I could do with a bit of guidance.

I have desktop computer with following:
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX-Extreme3 AMD 990FX DDR3 (bought Feb-2013)
CPU: AM3+ x6 FX-6300 3500MHz 95W (bought July-2014)
RAM: 16G Kit 1866 (8Gx2) G.Skill Sniper (bought July-2014)

Have been running Slackware for years, Slackware64 v14.2 since about Sep-2018.

Over the last 4 weeks or so, I have been getting random program crashes (mostly Firefox and Thunderbird), and occasional system lockup. Seems to me likely a faulty hardware. To my mind, prime candidates are MB, CPU or RAM. But how do you go about diagnosing which one is the culprit without spending money to purchase new of each just to swap out, but then maybe find that was not the problem?

Any tips or pointers for how to diagnose? Do I just have to outlay the cash for trail-and-error method?

Any assistance much appreciated. Thanks.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=7M9XvHb47Ig:jZDUzbxtADE:F7zBnMy latest?i=7M9XvHb47Ig:jZDUzbxtADE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=7M9XvHb47Ig:jZDUzbxtADE:gIN9vFw7M9XvHb47Ig
