Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has been ruled out of the team's divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings after suffering an injury to his non-throwing shoulder on the first drive of the game.

Trubisky landed awkwardly on the shoulder during a tackle by Danielle Hunter early in the first quarter. The third-year pro was taken to the locker room shortly after the play and was later ruled out, though he has not undergone x-rays as of yet.

Chase Daniel came on in relief for Trubisky and led the Bears down the field on that first drive, which he capped off with a 10-yard touchdown toss to Tarik Cohen.

Entering this week's action, Trubisky had put up 579 yards through the air to go with three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. The former Tar Heel was 2-for-3 for nine yards on Sunday before leaving with the injury.
