Report: Diggs fined by Vikings, but signs point to playing vs. Giants
The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly dolled out their punishment to Stefon Diggs for skipping meetings and practice this week.
Minnesota fined the disgruntled wideout, sources told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, who added that all signs still point to Diggs suiting up against the New York Giants on Sunday.
When asked Friday whether Diggs will play against the Giants, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said, "I don't know. We'll see," as relayed by Chad Graff of The Athletic. Zimmer also said Diggs "has already been punished" when asked about the receiver skipping practice.
Diggs admitted his frustration with the Vikings' offense following a 16-6 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 4. He stopped short of stating he'd like to be traded, but also said, "There's truth to all rumors."
The 25-year-old Diggs has recorded just 13 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown in four games this season, while the 2-2 Vikings rank second last in passing offense, averaging 169 yards through the air per game.
