As the Washington Redskins search for a new head coach, owner Daniel Snyder apparently has his eyes on a few high-profile names.

The Redskins' list of candidates to replace Jay Gruden - who was fired on Monday - could include Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, and Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, according to ESPN's Ed Werder, who cited a source who knows Snyder well.

Washington's current offensive coordinator, Kevin O'Connell, may also receive consideration for the head coaching job, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport added.

Gruden was relieved of his duties after Sunday's 33-7 loss to the New England Patriots, which dropped Washington's record to 0-5 this season. Assistant Bill Callahan was named as the interim replacement.

The inclusion of Tomlin as a potential candidate is notable, as the Steelers signed him to a one-year extension in July that will keep him under contract through the 2021 season. The deal also includes an option for 2022.

Bowles oversaw the New York Jets from 2015-2018. Bieniemy, the latest coveted Andy Reid assistant, has received head coaching consideration over the last two offseasons.
