Debian 10
by AlaricWood from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4SCF8)
I run it on a gigabyte motherboard, i7 chip and 8gb memory. I have used Debian for years but 10 has defeated me. I upgraded to recover ocr as 9 no longer supplied ocrfeeder. I have downloaded several times and installed at least 6 times but I have constant problems. The supplied PATH lacks several necessary folders, export won't export /sbin which it says is not a valid name and in consequence I cannot properly install a Brother all-in-one printer, I cannot open a link from an email, Libre Office installed from the installation over rode my formatting when a file was saved and re-opened.
The Debian forum does not help. No one else seems to have problems.
I used to use Mandriva and I downloaded Mageia and could run it from the CD but it would not install.
Any suggestions?
Regards
Alaric
