install canon mg8620 on Toshiba c55 via usb cable running fedora 28 XFCE

Just bought a Canon MG8620 printer and installed to (ugh) win10 also tested printing from Toshiba C-55 via USB that and copying from copy window on printer ALL WORK.
NEED to print from FEDORA 28. Can't find anything about device drivers that can be installed to allow printing. BTW using XFCE in Fedora.
Seen some suggestions that drivers just need a wakeup or install.
Seen NVIDIA driver is available but don't know if that requires a NVIDIA card to work
on C55 or what printer card is installed. Opening a C55 is a pain!.
Is the info available on a repo if so which and how to setup. Everything seems jacked around since dnf. If info is available on Canon web site how to get about finding it? MANY MANY thanks
