screen resolution screwed on ASUS K53TK laptop

SO I have this laptop, it's kinda old(2010's) but it still holds up pretty good. Anyways, I installed Ubuntu 18.04 and all the recommended drivers but the problem is that the resolution is wayy too small for my screen and it causes for apps and videos to show up pretty screwed up.
