Teams around the league have contacted the Houston Texans to inquire about the availability of star receiver DeAndre Hopkins ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports.

However, Hopkins is reportedly not on the trade block, and it would take "an awful lot" to acquire him, added Glazer.

The 4-3 Texans - who sit in second in the AFC South - remain firmly in the playoff hunt, so it would be shocking if the team opted to trade away Deshaun Watson's top target.

Hopkins set career highs in catches (115) and yards (1,572) in 2018. He also caught 11 touchdowns. But the 27-year-old's production has declined somewhat this season. Through seven games, Hopkins has racked up 49 grabs for 508 yards and three scores.

Houston has been highly active in the trade market this season. The AFC South club parted with its first-round pick in the next two drafts for left tackle Laremy Tunsil, acquired running back Duke Johnson for a fourth-rounder, and most recently picked up cornerback Gareon Conley for a third.

The Texans fired general manager Brian Gaine in June. Front-office responsibilities have since been shared between head coach Bill O'Brien and senior vice president of football administration Chris Olsen, who was given the interim GM title.
