Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman suffered a lower-body injury Tuesday night against the New York Rangers and is considered day-to-day, the team announced.

Pat Maroon, who departed midway through the game, and Anthony Cirelli, who didn't play Tuesday, are also both considered day-to-day with upper-body injuries.

Head coach Jon Cooper said postgame that he's unsure if Hedman will be able to play Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils, according to The Athletic's Joe Smith. Cooper also added that he's hopeful Cirelli's injury isn't long term and that Maroon "checked out" OK.

Hedman entered the evening with nine points in 10 games and led the Lightning in ice time. Cirelli has just four points but has been an effective two-way center for the Bolts. Maroon, meanwhile, has three points in 10 games with Tampa after signing a one-year deal as a free agent this offseason.

The Lightning lost 4-1 to the Rangers in the shorthanded effort.
