Can I always be updating packages without upgrading the kernel?
by cesarsj from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4TDXJ)
My question is: can I always be updating packages without upgrading the kernel? For example, I want to update all Slackware 14.1 packages (available at ftp.Slackware.com in the SLackware 14.1 patches/packages repository) keeping kernel version 3.10.17 (newer at this time is kernel 3.10.107)
Does slackpkg warn me if a package is not kernel compatible?
