Kingsbury ices own defense on goal-line stop, 49ers score on 2nd attempt
Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury made an embarrassing rookie error just before the end of the first half of Thursday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers went for it on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line with four seconds remaining, but the Cardinals' defense came up with a clutch stop on the running play.
Unfortunately for Arizona, Kingsbury already called a timeout, which cost his team the goal-line stand and gave the 49ers a second chance.

San Francisco capitalized on the mistake. Jimmy Garoppolo found new target Emmanuel Sanders for the touchdown to put the undefeated 49ers up 21-7.

Kliff Kingsbury is indeed an innovator. Never seen a coach ice his own defense. Revolutionary.
