NFL told Beckham, Landry to change cleats or not play in 2nd half
The NFL told Cleveland Browns wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry to change their illegal cleats or sit for the second half of Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, the CBS broadcast reported, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter.
Beckham and Landry both conformed to the rules and changed footwear.
The former initially wore white cleats with a red-and-blue scheme seemingly inspired by the recent "Joker" movie, while the latter was sporting gold cleats.

According to the league rulebook, "a player may wear shoes that are black, white, or any constitutional team color, or any combination of black, white, and a constitutional team color."
Beckham said after the game that a last-minute switch from the Browns' white jerseys to their all-brown messed up an apparel schedule he and sponsor Nike set up in the offseason.
While Beckham said cleats aren't something he's concerned about when he's "trying to win a game," the pass-catcher suggested he's subject to above-average scrutiny from the league.
"I've seen people in cleats that are a completely different color from their team, and they can wear them all game," he said. "For some reason, when it comes to me, it's just not the case."
Beckham had five catches for 87 yards in the 24-19 defeat. Landry caught six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown as the Browns fell to 2-6.
