A DVD will not play. Codec mpeg2 utf files - My desktop 32bit Mint 18.3 OS

DVD contains about 30 photos from a funeral for my brother. It played in a loop at the funeral home, but the copy doesn't play. Here are the stats from it. Dimensions 720 x 480, Codec mpeg-2 video, Filmrate - 30 frames per second, utf files, Bitrate 7901 kbps
My desktop - Dell Optiplex GX620 w/Seagate 500 Gb 32 bit
Linux Mint 18.3 version
I've searched the software manager and downloaded every DVD program that has potential. Restarted the computer and tried to open this DVD again, but it opens to a single frame and stalls.
Since I could not be at the funeral in person, accessing this DVD is quite important to me. Will someone please advise me what to do?
