Shepard, 2 other Giants starters cleared to play vs. Bears
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard will play in the team's Week 12 matchup against the Chicago Bears after clearing the concussion protocol, the Giants announced Friday.
Cornerback Janoris Jenkins and offensive tackle Nate Solder also cleared the concussion protocol and will suit up Sunday.
Shepard missed New York's past five games, while Jenkins and Solder didn't miss any action after suffering their injuries in Week 10 against the New York Jets, just before the Giants' bye week.
The 26-year-old Shepard, who also missed his team's Week 2 matchup due to a concussion, has posted 25 catches, 267 yards, and one touchdown through four games in 2019.
Jenkins leads the Giants in interceptions and passes defended with four and 11, respectively.
Solder has allowed eight sacks over 10 starts this season, according to PFF.
The 2-8 Giants are currently on a six-game losing streak and sit third in the NFC East.
