Giants' Tate in concussion protocol, Peppers has transverse process fracture
The New York Giants are down two important pieces.
The team announced Monday that receiver Golden Tate is in concussion protocol after landing hard during his touchdown on Sunday and safety Jabrill Peppers has a transverse process fracture.
Peppers' injury typically carries a one-to-three-week recovery timeline, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Tate has been an integral part of New York's offense. Despite missing the first four weeks of the season due to a suspension, he leads all Giants wideouts with 36 catches. He ranks second on the team with 450 yards and four touchdowns.
Peppers was acquired in the Odell Beckham Jr. trade and leads the team with 76 tackles and three forced fumbles.
