Detroit Lions undrafted rookie quarterback David Blough will start in his team's Week 13 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, the team announced Wednesday.

Jeff Driskel, who started three games filling in for the injured Matthew Stafford, battled a hamstring injury this week and was listed as questionable prior to the contest. He will serve as Detroit's backup pivot behind Blough.

Driskel was given the starting duties following Week 9 after Stafford suffered back injuries. The fourth-year signal-caller has gone 0-3 since Week 10, tossing four touchdowns and four interceptions.

Blough went undrafted in 2019 after playing four seasons at Purdue. He signed with the Cleveland Browns in March and appeared in four games during the preseason. The Lions acquired the 24-year-old one week before the regular season in a trade that included the teams swapping conditional draft picks.

Thursday's game will mark the first campaign since 2010 where three different quarterbacks have started for Detroit. Stafford, Shaun Hill, and Drew Stanton all started at least one game for the Lions nine seasons ago.
