Screen is not resuming from blank state in debian Buster

I have recently installed Buster on my PC.I have not installed power management pkg and xscreensaver on my PC.

As per above output I find that on the expiration of Screen Saver timeout value, screen goes into blank (black screen)and I am not able to resume it by pressing any keyboard key. I am left with only option of rebooting. if I make this timeout value to 0 , then it doesn't go to blank state. But I want to make it work with certain timeout value. My requirement is that on pressing any keyboard key screen should resume.
I am not sure what I am missing.
