The Dallas Cowboys have no plans to work out free-agent kickers or sign one in light of Brett Maher's inconsistencies.

"We have confidence in Maher," Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said Friday, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. "We are going to stick with him."

Maher missed both of his field-goal attempts on Thanksgiving Day in the Cowboys' 26-15 home loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 30-year-old has missed nine of his 28 tries this season, giving him an ugly 67.9% conversion rate.

Maher went 29-for-36 on field goals last year. He won the Cowboys' kicking job before the 2018 season, beating out veteran incumbent Dan Bailey.

The reeling Cowboys have pledged loyalty to the status quo several times in recent weeks, with owner Jerry Jones adamantly opposing calls for in-season coaching changes. Despite Jones' public criticisms of Jason Garrett and his staff, changes still aren't imminent, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
