Can only ping and connect to device on one of two Wireless access points on same subnet
by DiBosco from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4VVXP)
I have a Banana Pi (a Raspberry Pi type device with a SATA interface) which is connected directly to my Fibre modem/switch/wireless access point in one of its four wired Ethernet ports.
If I connect my laptop to the wireless access point that is built into the modem I cannot connect to the Banana Pi.
I have another Wireless Access point in the loft which is two flights up. I have run an Ethernet cable up to the loft from the another port Fibre modem and connected that via a switch in the loft to another stand alone wireless access point. If I connect the laptop to that wireless access point I an connect to the Banana Pi.
Does anyone have any idea why that could be please? I have no clue what to look for or check, I am happy to provide nay information needed.
I'm running Mageia 6 FWIW.
Thanks!
