Minshew Mania is back on, at least temporarily.

The Jacksonville Jaguars benched Nick Foles at halftime Sunday after going down 25-0 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and relied on Gardner Minshew under center for the second half of the contest.

Foles was ineffective during the first half, completing seven of his 14 passes for 93 yards and also throwing an interception. He lost two fumbles, too, including one strip sack that was returned for a touchdown.

The 4-8 Jaguars, who have lost four consecutive games, outscored the Buccaneers during the second half but ultimately fell by a score of 28-11. Jacksonville's only touchdown came on a three-yard connection from Minshew to Dede Westbrook.

Minshew completed 16 of 27 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown with one interception. The sixth-round draft selection was 4-4 as a starter in eight relief appearances, throwing 13 touchdown passes to just four picks prior to Foles' return.

Foles signed a four-year, $88-million contract in March but has been unable to lead Jacksonville to victory since his return from a Week 1 broken collarbone. The Jaguars lost 33-13 to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 and were defeated 42-20 by the Tennessee Titans in their last game.
