The Kansas City Chiefs could find themselves seriously shorthanded at running back for their Week 14 tilt against the New England Patriots.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced rusher Darrel Williams is unlikely to be available for the marquee matchup, according to Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.

"That didn't look good," Reid said Monday of the hamstring injury Williams sustained in Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders, per the Kansas City Star's Herbie Teope.

Kansas City is already without Damien Williams for the divisional battle due to a rib injury. Veteran LeSean McCoy and rookie Darwin Thompson led the backfield, each scoring a touchdown against the Raiders. The Chiefs might have to rely on those two again in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

The running game has been a committee approach this season, as the Chiefs have received contributions from all parties.

Kansas City sits inside the top five in the league in both total offense and passing offense. The running game, however, ranks 24th.
