Rose Wilder Lane: Pioneer of Educational Freedom

The daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Almanzo Wilder, Rose Wilder Lane was born on this day in 1886. Her years of growing up on the prairie instilled in Lane a sense of rugged individualism and self-reliance that ultimately found their way into her writings throughout the 20th century.
