Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones again expressed frustration over the state of his team following Thursday night's 31-24 loss to the Chicago Bears.

"That score didn't indicate how bad they beat us tonight," said Jones, according to NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano.

Dallas fell to 6-7 after suffering its third straight loss but remains atop the weak NFC East. A touchdown pass from Dak Prescott with 4:29 left in the game and a last-minute field goal flattered the Cowboys, who didn't put up any points in either the second or third quarter.

While the Cowboys are still firmly in the playoff hunt, Jones knows it won't matter unless his team can improve its play and start winning again.

"They took it to us. We just got to see if we can step in here and win a game," said Jones, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. "I don't care if we stay in contention all the way down until they have the playoffs, we got to start showing our fans, more importantly, show ourselves we can do the things to win games."

Garrett's job appears safe for at least another week, and the embattled head coach doesn't believe he's lost the locker room after this latest lackluster effort:

Does Jason Garrett think players are still buying in? "I do."

He doesn't think Cowboys look checked out? "I don't believe that."

Jones said after the Cowboys' loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 13 that the NFC East leaders had "zero chance" of making a Super Bowl run without Garrett.

Dallas faces the Los Angeles Rams next week before a potential division-decider against the Philadelphia Eagles, who sit at 5-7.
