Crontab not working at specific time

My command is Cat > a.sh
mkdir abc
Crontab -e
56 09 * * * /home/subir/Jarvis/a.sh
Doesn't create abc directory at that given time
mkdir abc
Crontab -e
56 09 * * * /home/subir/Jarvis/a.sh
