No sound

Hi everyone,
my an acer laptop sound stopped working today (doesn't sound in chrome, firefox, video player...) I reinstalled the system but it's still not working. alsamixer "select soundcard" only shows -default and in settings>sound>advanced>output devices there is nothing.
But for some reason Matlab errors do a sound. It's not laptop's problem since Windows sound works fine.
