extended display help please

I've got a single display port coming out of my tower and have 2 monitors with only HDMI or VGA ports.. I'm attempting to run extended display and wanna know what's the best adapter or cable setup that I need to go about buying/installing for most optimum results (yes my video card supports extended display)
