Trying to override axp288 power supply

I put Neverware chromeOS on a hardwired mini PC and it runs great except for the fact that it "discharges" and will shut down at 0%, requiring a hard reset to be able to reboot with "100% charge". The only battery inside is the CMOS battery. I go into /sys/class/power_supply and see axp288_fuel_gauge and hidpp_battery_0. The latter is the logitech keyboard/trackpad. The capacity and other info of axp288 makes me pretty sure this is the battery the OS is reading. How do I go about making a script to constantly write 100% charge values to /sys? Would that even fix the issue?

Is there a better way? I have tried other linux distros and have the same issue plus some.

Any help is appreciated.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=dOQwLDo8Ml8:BWCGfwx42XM:F7zBnMy latest?i=dOQwLDo8Ml8:BWCGfwx42XM:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=dOQwLDo8Ml8:BWCGfwx42XM:gIN9vFwdOQwLDo8Ml8
