New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell made himself clear when asked how he felt about going bowling Saturday hours after being ruled out with the flu for his team's Week 14 bout against the Miami Dolphins.

"I don't feel bad about what I did. I didn't break any rules," Bell said Tuesday, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

The star tailback said doctors told him to get out of the house and not just sit at home.

Bell also explained he lost eight pounds last week but still tried to convince his coaching staff to play him against the Dolphins. The Jets sent the three-time Pro Bowler home Friday to ensure other players wouldn't contract the bug.

Head coach Adam Gase said Bell won't be disciplined for the incident but added that he would've preferred if his lead rusher had stayed home, according to Mehta.

This week, the Jets have considered Bell a full participant in practice on both Monday and Tuesday and expect him to be available for their Thursday night matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

"The doctors said that he's feeling better than what he was and he's closer to being 100% than what he was three days ago," Gase said, according to Jets reporter Ethan Greenberg. "The fact that he's being let back in the building is a positive, so everything should be lined up to where he'll play Thursday."
