usb WIFI adapter

My internet cable is connected to an old Net Gear router from 2004. I'm not getting anywhere near the speed that I should have - it is evidently only 3g. If I check the speed using my phone connected to the WIFI I have the same problem. The phone speed using the broad band sim card is many times faster. I want to replace the router. I assume I'll need to replace my ancient Dell WIFI usb adapter also. The question is can anyone suggest a WIFI usb adapter that works well with Linux Mint 17.3? I've found adapters that are sold in the US that are made for use with Linux. I can order one of these directly from the company but would like to avoid the customs hassle - I live in Sweden.
Quote from the company with URL thinkpenguin.com:
"With the Penguin Wireless N USB Adapter for GNU / Linux, model TPE-N150USBL, connecting to the Internet is easy. Just plug it in, connect, and surf. Genuinely Penguin friendly with all recent Linux kernels supported out of the box."

Looks pretty good. If there are no other suggestions i will order it.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=Y3SMoZ24_4g:z_Dso6sdnec:F7zBnMy latest?i=Y3SMoZ24_4g:z_Dso6sdnec:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=Y3SMoZ24_4g:z_Dso6sdnec:gIN9vFwY3SMoZ24_4g
