Mint won't stay in Suspend when using wireless mouse.

When I suspend the system via the menu it immediately comes back to life. I have traced the problem to the use of a wireless mouse. If I use a wired mouse instead, it suspends normally. However, with both types of mouse, if I let it time out for the period defined in Power Management it suspends normally and stays suspended.

Running Linux Mint 19.2 (same thing happened with 19.1) and using a Microsoft wireless mouse. Suggestions would be welcome.
