Do I need both grub and grub 2 on centos7

I'm getting a CIS security finding that I don't have a password set in /boot/grub.conf. This system is centos7 and has grub2 isntalled which is password protected through it's process. Can I uninstall grub or just remove the config file for it to get rid of this finding?
