Slackware -current kernel 5.4.6 installed, incorrect modules referenced and uname -r points to 5.4.5

Updated today before work the standard way with update, install-new, and upgrade-all. Ran /sbin/lilo without any errors then shut it down to go to work. When I went to boot later I got error messages saying that modules didn't exist. Interestingly when I went to /lib/modules/5.4.6 and ran "ls" everything that should be there was there such as:

Code:build/
kernel/
modules.alias
modules.alias.bin
modules.builtin
...
modules.symbols.bin
source/I got curious and ran "uname -r" which returned a kernel version of "5.4.5". I've had issues like this before with missing modules and have done re-installs, or pulled the hard drive and manually put the files using a SATA to USB adapter and such. However these have always been older kernel to new. I'm wondering is there some string of commands I can run to point my installation to 5.4.5 from 5.4.6? It looks like everything that should be there is there.

I'm also wondering what I might have done wrong since usually it's the opposite when I'm running the older kernel and it looks for the newer one like in this link:http://https://www.linuxquestions.or...ersion-394417/

In those cases I know to do as I mentioned above, pull the drive, download the modules and reinstall them.

As far as the missing modules error message, as only 5.4.6 is installed all 5.4.5 modules are missing. The computer in question has nothing besides a basic TTY. Attempting to connect to the internet has failed and the computer crashes completely if I boot into X, requiring a hard reboot.
