Streaming videos to a virtual webcam device (Splitcam functionality on Linux)
by Leviathan42 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4WZ37)
Hey folks
I'm trying to find a way to play video files on a virtual webcam device in a similar way, Splitcam (on Windows) allows me to do. I've already found several guides on this, which talk about v4l2loopback (already installed) and ffmpeg, but which include very verbose commands on the terminal, which I'm absolutely not fond of. In particular I'm looking for a comfortable solution to do this via a gui.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Now here are some things that I've already tried and didn't work the way I wanted:
-Webcamoid
-Trucklist Studio
-QWinff
-Handshake
-OBS v4l2-sink
I use Manjaro
