current: kernel 5.4.6 - can't build nvidia driver

Hi, I updated current today (2019/12/26). I have a GT710 video card. I can no longer start the xserver. It appeared to be a problem with the nouveau driver. I dowloaded the proprietary nvidia driver and tried to build the driver but it failed giving error messages "This driver requires the ability to change memory types!" I also tried using sbopkg and Ponce's current repository but that failed as well. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Randy.
