How to install Linux Mint alongside Windows 10 on Lenovo IdeaPad C340?

I would like to install Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon 64-bit alongside existing Windows 10 on my new notebook Lenovo IdeaPad C340. During the installation I chose "install next to Windows" and ended up with the following error messages:

When I try to repeat the installation, I can't choose "install next to Windows". Instead, I have to choose "erase Mint and reinstall" and then click "Continue", but that's probably irrelevant.

The Linux Live I am using for the installation is running in Legacy mode, not UEFI. Windows is shut down properly using shutdown /s /t 0. The disk is OK (tested via badlocks), the memory is OK (tested via memtester).
