Bengals sign Hopkins to 3-year extension
The Cincinnati Bengals signed center Trey Hopkins to a three-year contract extension Saturday, the team announced.
The new deal is worth $20.4 million and includes $4.5 million in a guaranteed roster bonus, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hopkins, who was set to become a free agent in the offseason, has started all 15 games for the Bengals in 2019.
The 27-year-old signed with Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent in 2014 after a college career at Texas. The former Longhorn spent most of his first three seasons on the practice squad before stepping up for the Bengals' offensive line over the past three campaigns.
Cincinnati, which holds the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, has allowed 47 sacks through 15 games this year.
