Pat Shurmur's time with the New York Giants appears likely to end in the very near future.

While no final decision has been made on the head coach's future, New York is expected to move on from Shurmur after just two seasons, sources told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

However, the Giants' co-owners are "split" on Shurmur ahead of the team's season finale, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Steve Tisch is apparently ready to move on, but John Mara isn't "quite there yet."

The Giants sit at 4-11 entering Sunday's Week 17 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. They've won two straight games (against the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins) following a nine-game losing streak.

Overall, Shurmur has gone 9-22 with New York since taking over last season.

If fired, Shurmur would be second consecutive Giants head coach to be let go after two campaigns at the helm. Ben McAdoo was fired after going 11-5 in 2016 and then 3-13 in 2017.

Prior to McAdoo, Tom Coughlin held the position for 12 seasons.
