access denied running .sh file on linux 4.4 ubuntu chromebook 4+ beta

So on my samsung chromebook 4+ running linux 4.4 ubuntu beta, i have this game im trying to run, but i keep getting permission denied when i try to run the .sh file. i tried using sudo commands, to no avail. and its chromebook, so i cant log in and get admin privileges. what do i do to fix this?
