How to customize KDE keeping config files on shared location?
by kailassingh from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4X6YZ)
Hello Everyone,
Please help me to configure KDE environment as explained below:
I want to provide the unique environment for all Linux users in my organization.
My Linux Desktop currently has no application shortcuts and has a standard CentOS 7 wallpaper.
I want to create few application icon shortcuts in Desktop and set an organization wallpaper.
I need these configurations in a shared location so that any user logs in should see the same app icons and wallpaper. (For runlevel 5 and in VNC sessions)
Distro: CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core) and onwards
KDE Version:
1)KDE4
2)KDE5
Shared location of KDE config files:
1)/global_conf/env/kde4/
2)/global_conf/env/kde5/
