Geeqie image viewer and GPS Map

I have rebuilt Geeqie from source on Debian Stretch with the option
--enable-map
according to http://www.geeqie.org/help/GuideSidebarsInfo.html#GPSMap
I have also replaced the option
--disable-gtk3
with
--enable-gtk3
However I still can't see any GPS Map pane under the Exif pane in the side panel unlike the following screenshot in the Geeqie documentation http://geeqie.org/screenshots/Screen...3_12-02-32.png
Could anyone please help?
