Where can I find out what a running process is? i.e. "We"

When I use nmon top one process has multiple instances and is always near the top of the list. It is named "We" and I don't know what it is.
How do I find out what a process is by name? Is there a list of known processes somewhere? Does such a list show good and bad processes?
