IWConfig Nickname save location

Hello,
I am wondering where does the nickname and other iwconfig related information is saved. I would like to manually change the nick and lock a few things like channel, and frequency etc etc, however I would like to know where the info is stored.
I am using Kali, and have disabled NetworkManager.
