xfce4 menu system

I'm having some difficulty in removing a menu (which should not be there). It's the second named item on a list of items. If I find it I will share it, please tell me which directories it is in. I know about the /usr/share/applications and the /etc/xdg tree. I have looked in both and have not found it.
