Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was officially activated Tuesday and will reportedly play in Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Buffalo Bills, a source told ESPN's Field Yates.

Watt has been sidelined since Oct. 27 with a pectoral injury. The 30-year-old was initially expected to miss the remainder of the season, but the Texans stretched their campaign to the postseason and will get the five-time Pro Bowler back.

The star defender posted 24 tackles and four sacks through eight games this year.

Watt has amassed 15-plus sacks in each of the past three seasons when he played at least 10 games. However, Watt has appeared in 10-plus tilts just once since 2016, missing 32 games in that span.

While Watt is set to return, Tashaun Gipson is done for the season, with Houston placing the safety on injured reserve Tuesday. Meanwhile, wide receiver Will Fuller practiced in a limited capacity on Tuesday, and head coach Bill O'Brien labeled him as day-to-day.
